This hymn is an enduring favorite in many churches because of its lovely sound and heartfelt message. This setting is not technically difficult so that a moment of serene worship can be created. Less experienced ringers should find that they can attain the smooth lines in Softly and Tenderly, and more experienced players will enjoy a setting that they can put together with few rehearsals. Handchimes are optional.
