To purchase synchronization licenses for producing DVDs (video) that will include one or more of our titles, select here:

Standard (Shorter than 5 minutes)  Extended (Longer than 5 minutes)

If you intend to share your recording (but NO money will change hands):

First things first. A recording where money changes hands, even one penny, MUST involve a mechanical license. It's the law. So any recordings made for commercial CDs or DVDs need to have their mechanical and/or synchronization licenses in place (see above). Making recordings for archival purposes or recording services for shut-ins don't require mechanical/synchronization licenses because, of course, no money changes hands.

Additionally, we at Sonology Music / STEP have no problem with customers posting performances of our music on YouTube - as long as no money changes hands. We *would* request that people who post performances of our music properly credit Sonology/STEP and put a link to our site (or directly to the recorded piece) in the description. And we would request that you contact us at storekeeper@sonologymusic.com to let us know about your postings; using links to live performances in our advertising benefits our customers, our company, and you as performers.
