Music in this type of procession is “stacked up” vertically. The director and ringers rehearse a plan for adding and subtracting parts – the plan that best suits the occasion. Some parts may be left out altogether. This could be effective with as few as 2 ringers playing the main melody line using four-in-hand! And of course this works beautifully for any number of ringers on up to a full 5 octave choir. Versatile and stirring music for use in worship or concert.
