The opening section of this original piece is filled with excited praise (“canticle” means a song of praise), featuring mallets and an energetic 6/8 feel. The middle section is expressive and moving, and the return to the A section lifts the hearts of your ringers and listeners all the more. This is Kevin’s tribute to one of the finest church musicians he has worked with, and easily finds a place in worship, concert, and festival.
