What Child is This (brass quintet)

WHAT CHILD IS THIS? – arr. DWMorgan – brass quintet – Level 4

An arrangement of the traditional English Christmas carol that can be performed in a concert/school setting as Greensleeves. This arrangement requires both trumpets to carry the melody, features trombone and tuba solo sections and requires a horn with command of the upper register. The traditional carol section develops into sections with alternating melodic leads, rhythmic alterations and countermelodies. The arrangement does not require extensive technical capability but would be best served by a group with a developed sense of ensemble.
