SOUNDINGS – Derek Hakes – handbell ensemble

This original work, modal in quality, and has a dance-like character to it. Strive to keep the tempo steady while allowing the melody to predominate. On the quarter note LV sections, use big circular motions. You might want to experiment with adding a tambourine and finger cymbals (or triangle). Incredible sound from just 14 bells – 2 octaves!
